A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Make[up]s

"The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique." - Walt Disney

ColourPop's It's A Princess Thing eyeshadow palette is just dreamy! At a mere $20, you're going to get 15 shadows, most of those shimmers, and the cutest "autographed" case from the princesses. I'm going to let this blog post's photos speak for themselves through colorful swatches, but here's a brief summary of my initial thoughts on this palette and the accompanying Ultra Glossy Lip in "Bobbidi" (for $6) that I tested:

Though the quality of the shadows does not nearly equal that of MAC or Tarte, you can't expect absolute greatness from a $20 palette. ColourPop is known for its consumer-friendly, reasonably budgeted products, so I really applaud the effort and marketability they put into this Disney Designer collection. The matte shades are velvety and smooth though chalky, and the shimmers definitely require a more tacky primer, something like TooFaced's Glitter Glue or the damp-brush technique. The color payoff is remarkable though, especially in shades "Thingamabob", "Enchanted Rose", & "Magic Carpet: (which also happen to be 3 of my 5 favorites).

So enough chatter - let's see 'em...

Aren't they stunners? Again, this isn't going to equal the quality of a prestige brand's product but for someone on a budget (or a fellow Disney fanatic who can't resist a good Disney magic - hello, over here!), ColourPop has created an amazing deal!

The gloss isn't much to write home about, but don't discount it's worth! The color was too orange for me personally, but on a golden skin-tone, it'd be a great, slick-on-before-pool-side-lounging pop of color. It's medium-coverage which is perfect for people who don't like much color on their lips and doesn't have any shimmer. The texture is less buttery & luxurious than NYX's Butter Gloss, so for those of you who HATE stickiness, this is perfect!

Let me know if you've grabbed one of these collector items from ColourPop and what you think about it...
