Oh Stop...I'm Blushing!

Ah, blush – one of the least popular makeup items and yet arguably one of the best! I have a strong affinity for blush, not just for its vibrancy and color assortment but because of its magical ability to make you look instantly healthy and more youthful. My go-to line is Tarte because their products are paraben- and gluten-free (along with an endless list of “–free” approvals) and part of their philosophy is the “12-hour power” phrase meaning their products are long-wearing, durable, and pigmented. The line as a whole presents eco-chic beauty products filled to the brim with “skinvigorating ingredients” like superfruit and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, & essential oils while maintaining the cutesy packaging appeal for visually-persuaded customers. Their website’s explanation of the Amazonian 12-hour blush describes it as “a long-wearing, supremely soft blush infused with Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun.”

And true to advertising, their blush is superb! At $28 each, they’re a tad on the pricey side but will last forever and the color payoff is divine. My personal favorites are below:

“Dazzled”

- “Dazzled” is a deep, mauve rose, cool in tone, perfect for more mature skin-types

“Peaceful”

- You can’t much more perfect a blush color for fair to medium skin than “Peaceful”! It is a neutral mix between a coral and a pink and has a hint of shimmer to give a dreamy glow

“Dollface”

- The prettiest pink you’ve ever seen! “Dollface” is a cool, baby pink blush that just whispers spring, flowers, and laughter.
